OTHER TRAVEL – i.e. Thanksgiving and at non-break times
If you plan to have your student travel home outside of regular breaks, please contact Emily for academic requirements for your student, and Natalie for shuttle services available from Link to the Colorado Mountain Express shuttle (CME) or Peak1 Express (855-467-3251; www.mountainshuttle.com) in Frisco. Please note, Link staff are generally not available to help assist in these travel situations as they are needed at school. We have a list of possible drivers to get your student to and from the shuttle in Frisco. The charge generally is $60, plus gas = $100, which covers 3 hours of driving time and 120 miles on their personal vehicle.
Then, please contact Colorado Mountain Express (800-525-6363; www.ridecme.com) or Peak1 Express (855-467-3251; www.mountainshuttle.com) for a shuttle to or from the airport. You’ll want to schedule both pick-up and/or drop-off at the Frisco Exchange Station on I-70 at Copper Mountain.
If your student is older, there is also a bus from Buena Vista to downtown Denver for approximately $25. From the downtown bus station, students can obtain a transfer to a bus to the airport. There is only 1 bus heading in each direction a day. Link will coordinate a free trip to and from the bus station in Buena Vista. Please contact Natalie for more details.
